How we work

Panxis Golf is an independent title that explains golf: how to play better, how to buy better, where to go and play. This page says how the articles you read are made, by whom, and what to do when something looks wrong.

Our bylines

Articles are signed “The Panxis Golf desk”, followed by the desk concerned. A desk is an editorial line attached to a market, not a person. We do not invent journalists, we do not publish photographs of authors who do not exist, and you will find no fabricated biographies here.

What we test, and what we do not

We never present a gear article as a physical test if we have not had the club in our hands. When we compare products we work from published manufacturer specifications, user feedback and tests published by others, which we cite. The phrase “we tested” is reserved for occasions when it is true.

Numbers and addresses

Prices, addresses and opening times are checked at the time of writing, in the currency and units of the country concerned, which for this edition means Australian dollars and metres. They age: a green fee changes, a shop closes. If you find something out of date, write to us; we correct it and date the correction. When a local detail cannot be verified, we do not invent it, and the article waits.

Our independence

At launch, Panxis Golf receives no payment from any manufacturer, club or retailer. If we introduce affiliate links or partnerships, they will be disclosed exactly where they appear, in plain words, and they will not change what we write. A paid link always carries the corresponding notice.

Our corrections

A factual error is corrected in the article, and the correction is noted at the end of the text with its date. We do not quietly delete an awkward passage.
