Canadian Golf and Country Club

The Canadian Golf and Country Club opened in 1975 at Ashton, west of Ottawa, on 7800 Golf Club Way. It is semi-private and open to the public, with twenty-seven holes played as two eighteens: the West, a par 72, and the East, a par 70.

Published yardages differ between sources, giving the West at 6,339 or 6,430 yards and the East at 5,952 or 6,270.

The par 70 East is the more interesting card of the two: two fewer shots over roughly the same ground means fewer par 5s and more long par 4s, which is a harder test for a mid-handicap than the West.
